Introducing “Kevyn Wayne…and Some Mo’ Thangs”

Comedy will never be the same – if you haven’t heard of “Kevyn Wayne and…some Mo’ Thangz” then you REALLY don’t know what’s happening.  R.I.P. to Bernie Mac, Richard Pryor and Redd Foxx, and not to mention Robin Harris, because I’m not trying to take anything away from either one of them – because they ARE Legends, without a doubt.  And throughout the years I have celebrated several humorous moments that I have shared with each of them on and off the big screen that I will never forget.

However, there are some Mo’ Thangz in the making and each and everyone of those comics that has paid the way for African Americans to create comedic art will appreciate what “Kevyn Wayne and…some Mo Thangz is bringing to comedy.  I spent several years on the west coast preferably speaking about Los Angeles, CA -  from comedy club to comedy club, as well as bringing in talent for the brand new state of the art comedy club – “Queen Mary Comedy Club”.  Where talent was far and in between savvy enough to satisfy any laughing cravings you may have – and I have yet to discover talent that I find in “Kevyn Wayne and…some Mo’ Thangz.

Born in the small town of De Queen, Arkansas, Mr. Some Mo’ Thangz has crossed paths similar to everyone – and I’m not speaking white or black, green or purple, but EVERYONE!  His story telling is somewhat similar to the delivery of “Bill Cosby” – but with an edge that will leave you on your seat almost ready to run to the restroom, but you rather use a cup than leave the show for your 15 minutes of fame praying to the porcelain God.  Trust me you rather stop, drop and roll it right there in the seat, rather than leave the show.  I have to admit that I have been very aware of Mr. Some Mo’ Thangz for years, because I had no choice.  I had to deal with him on the streets of De Queen and it doesn’t sound like much, but he developed his style, delivery and content from his family – he credits Mrs. Dorothy Powell, his loving mother for his comedic knowledge, passion and respect.  And trust me in all quotes, “She is something else, the only difference between the two is that she CAN cook,”  Kevyn Wayne and…some Mo’ Thangz quotes, “My momma? Wooo – the baddest two man woman in da world – put it dis way, she got my smile.”  LOL.  If that wasn’t enough I don’t know what is.  He is the 4th brother of 5 – and for you people that can’t figure it out he says, “I’m not the youngest, but I am the cutest. Regardless.”

The most important thing that I have to say about Mr. Some Mo’ Thangz is this – “He is ready to take on the world and share his humor in a way that can relate to anybody – and it is truly a sight to see…well hear.”  And I’m proud to say that you can communicate with him right here at Today with KJ.  I’m excited about having Kevyn Wayne a part of the team he will deliver a vibe that I think is necessary to the industry no matter what – not only is he a talented comedian and entertainer, he is very knowledgeable about the entertainment, music and dating industry.  His characteristics as a leader in this industry is far beyond your imagination and his grace will be delivered professionally.  That’s pretty much all we at Today with KJ can ask for out of a professional of his stature and I will continue to support his mission.

In a nutshell, Kevyn Wayne and…some Mo’ Thangz has dedicated his time to focus on the comments and questions of the world and invite everyone to his page developed right here on the website to get his comedic insight about controversial topics, dating and the entertainment industry.  I welcome you all to support Mr. Some Mo’ Thangz on his road to stardom.  My suggestion is to get his autograph now!  You heard it on Today with KJ!
